Hostel

Shri Krishna We have our own hostel on the campus with a capacity to currently accommodate around 200 girls. It has a clean and healthy atmosphere away from dust and pollution. It has a round-the-clock power back-up and water supply. The mess is well-maintained and provides healthy and hygienic food to the residents. Other amenities include medical facilities, sports, gym and entertainment facilities. The hostel is under strict security of armed guards. The lady faculty members staying in the hostel and the warden help in providing a homely environment to the students by supporting them academically and psychologically as and when required. They also keep a close watch to maintain overall discipline. Hostel also has a classroom where evening classes are held for weak students and personality development classes are held for overall development of the students. Accessibility to the computer Lab and Library is available to all the girls from 8 am till 8 pm.

Power Supply

For uninterrupted and smooth functioning of all domains, we have our own power supply supporting the college and hostel 24 hours. Plug points have been provided in all the hostel rooms for the convenience of the students to charge their cell phones, laptops or any other electrical device they may be using.

Transportation

Krishna Girls Engineering College is located about 10 km from Kanpur main town on GT road leading to Delhi. KGEC is hardly 8 km from IIT Kanpur. It is well connected to the city through rail and road transport. For the convenience and safety of our day scholars, we have college buses running covering nearly all routes of Kanpur. We also have a college van which is stationed 24 hours on the college campus incase of any emergency or as a facility for our hostel students.

Medical Facilities

The institute has assigned a room for medical emergencies. It is equipped with all the basic accessories and the institute medical practitioner uses this room to examine the students. A small dispensary is maintained to take care of all the immediate requirements of medicines prescribed by the doctor. The institute also has tie-ups with many hospitals in Kanpur where students are treated without any charge. A college vehicle is available 24 hours to provide immediate help in case of any emergency.

Internet

All computers in the college are linked to the main server which is connected with a broadband internet service with a speed of 2mbps. Surfing becomes very easy for all the students as our computer lab is open till 8 pm. Specific time slot is allotted to all the students wherein they can use the internet facility for academic purposes.

Canteen

There is a canteen in the institute to support the requirements of the students at odd timings. The college canteen provide eatables at nominal rates without compromising with the hygiene. The eatables are prepared in the canteen under strict supervision to ensure quality and hygiene. Regular quality check is also done by our staff ensuring quality products in the canteen. The canteen also provide other services such as recharge coupons, railway reservation and other sundry services.
